Odoo for subscription businesses

Odoo for companies whose product is a monthly fee

Web hosting, domains, SaaS licences and maintenance contracts. We build an Odoo setup where the order, service activation and recurring billing run in one chain.

Who it's for

Hundreds of products, thousands of invoices

The hard part of a subscription business is volume: thousands of small contracts renew, change and end on different days. We build a setup around Odoo's billing that fits your products.

What it does

From order to live service, every step visible

Some services are worth activating automatically, others by hand. You choose per product, and either way the order status sits in one place.

1OrderThe customer orders from your web shop, or sales creates the order in Odoo.
2PaymentBy card, online banking or invoice through a payment provider.
3ActivationOdoo passes the order to a service platform, which activates the service or creates a task for it.
4Recurring billingRenewals and payment reminders through Odoo invoicing.
5SupportCustomers see their services and invoices, and support requests land in the same system.
Features

What's included

The base is Odoo's own subscription and invoicing app. Whatever Odoo already does, we use as it is.

Provisioning management

Odoo connects to a separate service platform that talks to control panels, domain registries and licence vendors. We run the platform for you as a service, or install it on your side.

Product catalogue

Plans, add-ons and price tiers are modelled on your actual products during implementation.

Changes and usage-based billing

Mid-term plan changes and usage-based charges use Odoo's built-in features wherever possible.

Recurring revenue reports

MRR, churn and renewals from Odoo's own invoicing and payment data.

Background

We built this for ourselves first

Our group includes one of Finland's largest web hosting companies. We worked on its ordering and billing problems for years, with some failures along the way, before we found a foundation that holds.

Two ways to start

Ready-made, or adapted to you

Both begin with a discovery session on your products, volumes and current systems.

Ready-made

A working setup with light configuration: your own products, fields and prices. The fastest way to get going.

Adapted

Parts are swapped for systems you already have. It takes more planning and more of your team's time, and it costs more.

Tell us how many contracts you bill each month

In a 45-minute discovery call we go through your products and systems. Afterwards you'll know whether this is worth doing.
